In the small medieval villages of Carzano an Novale, located on the beautiful island called Monte Isola, every 5 years there is a traditional and very important holy feast called "the festivivity of the Holy Cross".
First the inhabitants build the structure: some arcs, made of wood, composed of stakes and listels. All the arcs, covered with these branches, are decorated with hundreds of handmade paper flowers, with different shapes and colours, realized by all the people of the small villages. These flowers are so beautiful and perfect that they look real. Also the walls along the roads are coated with the pines and flowers. Furthermore, on every arc is set a row of white lights that by night give the village a fantastic and fairy-tale atmosphere.
